Earlier today I had the fortune to visit Our Lady of Assumption Catholic School in Bowness and deliver backpacks full of school supplies. The backpacks are provided to local elected officials by Telus as part of their Kits for Kids program. This year alone, they provided over 14,000 backpacks filled with a pencil case, colouring pencils, pencils, pens, erasers, a flexible ruler, exercise books and loose-leaf papers.
