Today I was pleased to announce a new investment into the University of Calgary's world-class Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. This includes $59M to build a new training facility at the SpyHill Campus and $8.4M over three years to hire more instructors and increase the number of students.
Veterinarians are in high demand in Alberta and the UofC receives seven times the number of applicants than they can admit. Today's investment will ensure students in Alberta can access high-quality post-secondary education right here at home.
